Alana
The founding Director of Future Smiles Dental Laboratory, Alana Paino commenced her apprenticeship in May 2000 as a dental lab technician in Melbourne for a city-based laboratory.
She demonstrated strong technical abilities and quickly found herself in the Ceramics department. In 2008, Alana branched out into sub-contracting as a dental lab technician and worked in numerous laboratories around Melbourne gaining valuable experience while refining her skills.
Future Smiles was founded in early 2011. A strong emphasis on product quality and service from the beginning has seen it grow into one of Melbourne’s premier dental laboratories.
Outside of the lab, Alana spends her time enjoying fine food and wine, yoga, and doting over her beloved sausage dog Hershcelle.
Kim
Following a similar path as Alana, Kim Escano began her apprenticeship as a dental lab technician in Melbourne in August 2000 for a large city-based laboratory.
Kim’s specialty lies in all aspects of cad-cam, metal framework design and construction, which perfectly complements Alana’s knowledgeable ceramic experience, giving our clients a combined industry experience of over 30 years.
Kim initially joined Future Smiles as a casual employee – a position that quickly grew into a full-time dental lab technician position, as her expertise was highly valued within the lab.
In her spare time, Kim has a keen interest in martial-arts, having previously competed both nationally and internationally.
